Neusha - Live at Theme Sessions

Neusha steps into the frame for a mesmerising live performance for Theme Sessions, captured in a single take at Theme Ltd’s creative hub and event space in Camden Town. The 21-year-old London singer-songwriter blends Jazz, Soul, R&B, Pop, Rock and Bossa Nova into a sound that defies category, bound together by a devotion to lyricism and storytelling.


Influenced by writers such as Mahmoud Darwish and Jeff Buckley, Neusha treats each song as poetry set to melody. Her voice moves between intimacy and power, carrying both elegance and emotional honesty. For her, lyricism is not an accessory but the core of her art, a way to articulate feelings that cannot easily be spoken. “When I write something down for a song, it comes so naturally to me,” she explains.


Her Theme Sessions set captures that spirit in its purest form. Moving between unreleased songs and audience favourites, she performs with quiet intensity and effortless control. Songs like Silver in Stone, Lighter, My Lover and Everytime He Leaves showcase her distinctive tone and lyrical charm, combining warmth and sophistication with a modern edge. About Neusha

Born and raised in London with Iranian heritage, Neusha grew up surrounded by diverse sounds, from Andy Williams to the Persian classics her mother introduced her to. This blend of cultural influences continues to shape her music. Her debut single My Lover amassed over a thousand streams in its first week, establishing her as a fresh voice with depth beyond her years.


For Neusha, genre is secondary to feeling. “If I limited myself to one genre, I’d feel caged in,” she says. Her work draws from jazz’s improvisational heart, pop’s immediacy and the introspective quality of classic singer-songwriters. Constantly evolving, she views songwriting as both science and therapy, turning private emotion into universal connection.

Offered as part of Theme’s Camden charity initiative, these sessions support independent artists by providing access to high-quality live audio and free video recording, helping them reach wider audiences using tools usually reserved for major labels.

Each session is recorded, mixed and filmed in one take, capturing the energy of a live show in an intimate setting.
