Hani Hooper - Live at Theme Sessions

Hani Hooper steps into the frame for a live performance for Theme Sessions, captured in a single take at Theme Ltd’s event space in Camden Town. The London-based musician, composer and cellist crafts an experimental sound that bridges the worlds of electronic, ambient and alternative music.


Using live looping, effects and layered cello textures, Hooper creates performances that feel both intimate and cinematic. His approach embraces contrast, moving between acoustic and digital elements, structure and chaos, stillness and noise. The result is a soundscape that feels raw, immersive and unpredictable, drawing the listener into a shifting emotional terrain.


A graduate of the London College of Communication with a BA in Filmmaking, Hooper combines a visual artist’s sensitivity with a composer’s precision. He is currently pursuing a Masters in Electronic Music at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama, developing work that explores tension and harmony through sound. His compositions are grounded in storytelling, often blurring the boundaries between performance, sound design and film.

About Theme Sessions

Theme Sessions are live performance recordings filmed in the event space at Theme Ltd, an independent studio and creative hub in Camden Town, London. Offered as part of Theme’s Camden charity initiative, these sessions support independent artists by providing access to high-quality live audio and free video recording, helping them reach wider audiences using tools usually reserved for major labels.


Each session is recorded, mixed and filmed in one take, capturing the energy of a live show in an intimate setting.
